Regular physical activity helps lower your risk for a variety of conditions including heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer, high blood pressure, Alzheimer's, dementia and obesity, while improving your mood too. Regular activity can also help keep bones and muscles strong, promote good balance and combat frailty.

Chair Aerobics
Chair aerobics serves as a perfect workout for people with diabetes or those wanting to practice an alternative to regular aerobics.
You do not need any special equipment or clothing. All you need is a chair. A member from our physical therapy staff leads participants through various movements that improve heart health, control blood sugar and strengthen knees, abdomen, ankles, calves, upper body, shoulders and more. All are set to some of the best popular music from past eras.
Morning sessions
Monday and Friday

Weight Training for Seniors
Check out our Senior Weight Training program held at the city of Owatonna's SeniorPlace. A member from Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute works with you individually and in group sessions, leading you through how to use free weights and your body weight to prevent bone mass loss and improve balance.
