A seven-part video and discussion series to help caregivers maintain their mental and physical health begins Thursday March 11 at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd. in Brooklyn Center, Minn.

"The Grit and Grace of Being a Caregiver" is a free series with meetings from 10 to 11 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month through June. Each session is complete by itself, and people can come to one or all seven sessions.

The series is designed to help people who care for loved ones sort out feelings, set limits, understand when doing less is more and how to give and receive.

The series is sponsored by The Gathering Place, a group respite service provided jointly by local faith community nurses, the Anoka County Senior Caregiver Network and Mercy and Unity hospitals, part of Allina Hospitals & Clinics.

For more information, call Lyla Pagels, RN, Faith Community Nurse, 763-236-4342.
