Riding in a motor vehicle is the most dangerous thing most of us will ever do. Safe Communities of Wright County (SCWC) is a collaborative effort focused on reducing crashes through safety education and prevention. Launched in 1997, SCWC has seen the rate of severe injury and fatal crashes in Wright County decline by an average of 38 percent, without factoring in population growth. Now an independent 501(c)3, SCWC is led by a volunteer board of directors comprised of leaders in local law enforcement, public health, schools, insurance, traffic engineers, Buffalo Hospital and Allina Medical Transportation.
