Allina Financial Assistance Services
Providing convenient access to necessary medical care regardless of one's ability to pay is important to us. That's why we offer these programs for patients and their families who cannot afford to pay their medical bills:
Our care goes beyond medical assistance. We can also help people get food stamps, WIC (Women, Infants and Children, a federal program that supplies nutritious foods) or heating assistance – all of which are vitally important to a patient's recovery, health and well-being. MedEligible ServicesMedEligible Services provides advocacy support to patients who have difficulty paying their medical bills. MedEligible Services staff members can educate you about and help you apply for federal, state and county services like these:
Partners CarePartners Care was established to assist patients who do not qualify for medical assistance (Medicaid) and whose annual incomes are at or below 275 percent of the federal poverty level. The application is brief and asks for information on family size, employment, income, banking and insurance. If patients meet the guidelines, their total hospital balance will be zero. An eligible individual will be covered by the program for up to one year barring any significant change in income. Patients must apply for Medicaid and be found ineligible before they qualify for the Partners Care. Income guidelines for Partners Care
Services provided by non-Allina Hospitals & Clinics' physicians or ancillary services (e.g. physicians, radiologists, anesthesiologists) are billed separately and not included in this program.
